Sunday Mornings: 10:00 am
We are a small, friendly congregation on the Oregon coast. An historical church, the oldest continually running Presbyterian Church west of the Mississippi River- founded in 1846 ten years after the battle at the Alamo - we are a people made up of fishermen, business owners, teachers, and retirees. Our children and grandchildren continue to amaze us going off to graduate from Harvard, Dartmouth, University of Tennessee (and on to a master's program), Montclaire State in New Jersey, Oklahoma State University and Pacific Lutheran University. A recent high school graduate has been accepted at a prestigious consortium of schools in Southern California.
We have a one room children's Sunday School for ages 5-17 while church service concurrently runs from 10 - 11 AM, a women's craft fellowship once a quarter, a bible study every Monday at 1:30 PM, and a coffee fellowship after church service. Individual members are involved in many and diverse activities from ringing the holiday bells for the Salvation Army, funding and working in the area school Backpack Program for homeless teens, singing in the Oregon Coast Chorale, and delivering hot meals for shut-ins and serving seniors at the Warrenton Senior Center.
Visitors are warmly welcomed. It's the beach, dress as you wish. The worship service is a typical Reformed liturgy; hymns, confession, assurance of pardon, Lord's Prayer and sermon. Our Church Musician, Jane McGeehan, is outstanding; but she is also enjoying retirement so we don't see her every Sunday. There are some servives when we sing old time favorites( How Great Thou Art, A Mighty Fortress, Be Thou My Vision) accapella. Come by and see us. We hope to feed you spiritually and physically.
